Aanandinii (hindi for " Full of Joy"), inspired by" Chocolate by Smita" is a Pure Georgette Chikankari Lehenga. It is a work of the brand's maestro artisan, Salima, from a small village of Uttar Pradesh. Salima learnt this craft from her mother and after nearly 3 years of training became expert to work on such fine lehengas. Two other ladies with similar skills worked with Salima. This lehenga is done on pure georgette with white thread. It is intricately hand-embroidered with flowers all over and paisley on the border. It has all over Kamdani work that is done by expert artisans. There are very few artisans now doing such Kamdani work making this creation further more exclusive. The lehenga is dyed in the shades of orange and yellow in another city of Rajasthan by a master dyer with over 40 years of experience. It has been stitched in a city of Maharashtra by Sagar who has an experience of more than 12 years in stitching a fine creation like this. The lehenga took 5 months for completion. A truly exclusive handcrafted story that combines the vision of a designer and the expertise of artisans from different states of India. To complete this creation there is a brocade blouse piece with gota work on the sleeves.The net dupatta in blue has gota flowers and border all over. About Chikankari Chikankari is an ancient form of white floral embroidery that is intricately worked with a needle and raw thread. This fine white tracery comes from Uttar Pradesh, India, where it was first introduced by Nur Jahan during the Mughal Era. Chikan embroidery requires a lot of creativity, precision, and is an extremely strenuous process, making it an art of its own.
